Day 4 in Bali (day 5 overall) started with a delicious traditional breakfast (nasi goreng) before we made our way back to Potato Head Beach Club. This time we got there 15 minutes before they opened, and we were able to procure prime real estate with day beds right up front boasting beautiful ocean views. We hung out there relaxing, swimming, eating and drinking for a good four hours.
From there, we made our way to Canguu Beach and Tanah Lot Temples - talk about sights that will take your breath away! One could spend hours here taking in the beauty, but Groovy had the fantastic idea to jet us over to another temple sight at Echo Beach for the sunset. As you can see from the pictures, it was a sunset I won't soon forget.
Our last evening in Bali was completed with dinner at one of the finest restaurants here called Métis. The restaurant was incredible, and I ordered a cocktail (smooth operator) that they had a whole presentation for - it included lighting it on fire and tossing it back and forth between two shakers for at least two minutes. I also kept my promise to myself to try as many new and local foods as possible by having Foie Gras (duck liver) for the first time as an appetizer and a delicious pork belly entrée that they cook for 14 hours.
My last evening in Bali was capped off with a short stroll around our villa and a cashew nut gelato (I'm in nut heaven over here!).
