I've Got a Lovely Bunch of Coconuts ;)

Well, sleeping was wishful thinking for the 4th straight night. I was up by 8, so it ended up being another 3 hours of sleep night :(

This morning, we lounged around, had breakfast, and headed off to our massages at noon. The 60 minute full body and 30 minute foot reflexology was exactly what the doctor ordered. The $40 price almost felt like stealing.

Massages!

After that, Groovy and I went to the nearby beach and got coconuts. Little things like this have been my favorite! They literally take a coconut off of a pile on the ground, give it a few whacks with a machete and throw a straw in it for you to drink the water. After finishing it, you can hand it back and they'll whack it in half so you can eat the coconut out of the center.

Fun coconut experience.
Look at me in Bali!

After that, we hung out a bit and then headed out to a dive joint for a traditional Balinese lunch. I wasn't real hungry so I took a recommendation from Groovy and got a chicken/rice noodle/etc soup. The food was delicious!

My lunch - not sure wifey would like this food too much!
The things I can eat here!! Sorry, wifey!
Local spiritual leaders pass out offerings for blessings from
the spirits twice a day all over the island.

Later, we did some shopping and got my Bali souvenirs and some other clothes. We finished off Day 3 in Bali by driving out into the patty fields to a famous place called Dues Ex Machina. It started as a motorcycle renovation shop and has since expanded into a restaurant/bar/retail/live music venue. It was a very cool atmosphere. We hit our pillows by midnight, exhausted and ready for a good night's sleep.
