| In my newly purchased sarong at Uluwatu Temple. |
Another terrible nights sleep, but somehow it doesn't seem to matter here as I continue to wake up with energy to start the day. (Although I am definitely feeling the sleep deprivation in the evenings.) Today we began with a stroll through the local shops and purchased a sarong for tonight's show at Uluwatu Temple.
Next, we visited Potato Head Beach Club, one of the most popular beach clubs in all of Bali. We were late getting there so we had no shot at getting day beds to chill, but we still had a couple fantastic local drinks at lunch at the restaurant.

We had a huge evening planned with the Temple trip and a White Party (which was 11pm - 4am), so I squeezed in a very necessary hour-long nap before our 90 minute drive to the temple. The drive was slow as the streets are jam packed here, but the experience was well worth it.

The show is a Kecak and Fire Dance (pronounced "Kech-uh") which known as the most unique Balinese dance (using a choir of seventy men rather than an accompanying orchestra), and it tells the story of a princess that was kidnapped and (obviously) eventually rescued. The dance is a perfect mix of tradition, comedy, and story. I highly recommend that anyone who makes it here take the time to experience it.

On the way back, we had a quick dinner and margaritas at Taco Local which has the best tacos I have EVER had (which doesn't make much sense considering I live about two hours from Mexico! I highly recommend the carnitas and huevos if anyone ever gets a chance to visit this place - I can't put into words how amazing this food is.
The drive back from the show was long and tiring so I squeezed in another quick 20 minute nap before we made our way to the White Party, which was at the other famous beach club here, Ku De Ta. These scene put me a bit out of my element with the techno/EDM/house music, but it was an experience I'll remember, and I definitely had fun.

I knew hitting the pillow at 5am was going to trouble for the next day, but all I could hope for was to be able to sleep until right before our noon massage appointment tomorrow.
